Democratic Voters Disenfranchised in Tucson's City Elections?

John Brakey of AUDITAZ discovered that heavily Democratic precincts were disproportionately chosen to be "compressed" into voting areas for the city elections, which were marked by a very close defeat of Democrat Nina Trasoff by Republican Steve Kozachik in Ward 6. In such a close race, the number of people who may have discovered they were at the wrong polling place is significant.

  1. Wow, not that I have much inclination to confidence in the DoJ, but the voting areas were altered illegally? Maybe there is a squirmy lawyer with the county with his squirmy interpretation of why this isn't "illegal?" Or maybe there's a good reason?
